Welcome to the Law Offices of Steven Barcus.

I have been in practice for over 30 years. The office is open 9-5 Monday through Friday. I also make hospital visits.

I started in upstate New York in 1977. The practice was general, although I took on many criminal cases and negligence claims. Many resulted in trials which gave me courtroom experience. One of my early trials involved a man who purchased a loaf of bread, cut off the heel and next slice, and made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He bit into it and discovered pieces of rusty single edged razor blades embedded in the back of his throat. They had been baked into the bread at a supermarket. Aside from the physical injury, he developed a food phobia, which left him suspicious of ingesting most foods. After 8 plus years, I moved to Florida. In early 1987, I took a position as chief trial lawyer for a large personal injury firm in Orlando. I left them in October 1990 and went on my own. In April 1991, I opened an office at Flea World, in Sanford, Florida. From those modest beginnings, I built a 4400 square foot office in Altamonte Springs, where I have been ever since.

While auto accident negligence made up the lion's share of my practice, I also undertook a number of dog bite cases.

I am flattered that you have read this information and would be pleased to review your claim. I have taken over files where the first lawyer felt the case wasn't large enough to handle or where the negligence was doubtful.

Remember, exceptional service is our standard.
